She was predeceased by: her parents, Emil Kana and Ella Kana (Barta); her husband Bernard Kristynik; her sister Rita; her brother-in-law James Brossmann; her brother Emil; her sister-in-law Diana Kana; and her grandson Joshua Alyn Kristynik.
She is survived by: her sons, Alan Kristynik (Lisa) of Victoria and Ricky Kristynik (Sharon) of Rosenberg; her grandchildren, Kyle Kristynik (Janice), Ryan Kristynik (Nicole), Hilary Gohmert (Christopher) and Hannah Kristynik (Brian Bennett); and her great grandchildren, Emily, Aubrey, Noah Kristynik and James Gohmert. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations in memory of Janie may be made to Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Nada, Garwood Veterans Memorial Library or Garwood Volunteer Fire Department.
