She was predeceased by: her parents, D. H. Newman and Mary Ann Richards Newman; her brothers, Daniel Newman and Earl Newman; and her granddaughter Lauren Nicole Lunsford.
She is survived by: her sons, Greg Lunsford (Lindsay) of Nacogdoches and Dan "Snapper" Lunsford (Jennifer Lee); her grandchildren, Collen Lunsford (Kaylie) of LaPorte, Kase Lunsford of Nacogdoches, Trevor Whitehead (Delainey) of Martinsville and Gracie Whitehead of Nacogdoches; and her great grandchildren, Sadie Lunsford and Tucker Whitehead.
