He was predeceased by: his parents, Bert Lahey and Ruth Forson Lahey; his daughter Karyn; and his brothers, James Lahey and Bernie Burdick.

He is survived by: his wife Edith Owens Lahey; his children, John Lahey, Kellie Lahey and Matthew Lahey (Kristin); his grandchildren, Andrew Hammond (Justine), Owen and Oona Lahey; and his great grandchildren, Dorothy and Edith.
