He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Lee Sachtleben and Emma Maurine Sachtleben (Weber); his wife Vicki Sachtleben; and his brothers-in-law, Leonard Sullivan and Sam Medley.

He is survived by: his children, Brett Sachtleben (Kimberly) of Houston, Sean Sachtleben (Laura) of Houston and Kristen Stagner (Aaron) of Manvel; his grandchildren, Erich Sachtleben of Houston, Anna Sachtleben of Houston, Quinn Sachtleben of Houston, Rylan Sachtleben of Houston, Reagan Stagner of Manvel and Victoria Stagner of Manvel; his sister Rosemary Sullivan of Lufkin; and his siblings-in-law, Alan Schultz (Jamye) of Nacogdoches and Becki Medley of Nacogdoches. He is also survived by his children and grandchildren.
