James Preston Dobbs Jr. Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Preston Dobbs Jr. of Garrison, Texas, born in Mount Enterprise, Texas, who passed away on October 16, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Preston Dobbs and Lillie Mae Dobbs; and his sister Linda Sue. He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Ann Simpson; his children, Preston (Kim) of Heath and Kim Horton (Art) of Carthage; his sisters, Joyce Hall Allison of Uvalde and Janie Bryant of Waco; and his grandchildren, Laura Verden (Shelby) of Dallas, Jay Dobbs (Eleanor) of New Orleans, Caroline McCarty (Grant) of Tyler and Luke Horton of College Station. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of dear friends.
