He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Alfred Schmoekel, Sharon Heuss, Richard and Judy Trout. He is survived by: his parents, David Schmoekel and Sherri Schmoekel; his brothers, Kyle and Devin Schmoekel; his stepgrandparents, Pam Porter and Bob Trout; his great-aunt Mary Jane Heyer; his aunts, Cheryl Heuss, Cynthia Webb (Mau Tran) and Chris Thompson (Scott); his cousins, Brandi Crum (Chris) and Jared Thompson; and his nephew Jean-Luc Burns.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Texas Central Bleeding Disorders, 12700 Hillcrest Rd., Ste. 191, Dallas, TX. 75230.
