She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Disease and Eddie Mae Gardner; her brothers, Kenneth Giles (Mary), Darrell Giles (Rita) and David Gardner (Rene); her nephew Darrell Giles, Jr.; her nieces, Jade Giles, Shakenah Faggins and Tyesha Morgan (Patrick); her great-nieces, Jordyn Faggins, Kyla Faggins and Taylor Njama; her sister-in-law Beverly Faggins; her cousins, Sandra, Brenda, Beverly, Carolyn, Tina, Janice, Kim, Kevin Jr., Lawrence, Taren and Shaqualia; her aunts, Lula Henderson and Bertha Daniels; her close friends, Liz Foster, Twana George and Emily Roberson; and also Messiah Faggins.
At a young age, she took on the role of "caregiver" for her ailing mother who eventually became unable to care for herself due to Alzheimer's Disease.
