Harley Barnett wrote a sympathy message

“Apologies if this is being sent multiple times, the website asked for a registration after I typed it out and I can't tell if it got posted or not. Matt, who we all knew as Slim over voice-chat, was a big part of our gaming group for a number of years. Everybody enjoyed his company. He was always a pleasant, fun-loving and generous person, and getting online to play some Diablo II or League of Legends with him was one of the great memories I have of that group. Marvin called me last night while I was at the airport in Atlanta to let me know of his passing, and I've just now gotten back home to Michigan and had a bit of rest. Although our group hasn't been much active for a few years, we would occasionally try to catch up on voice-chat or through facebook, email, etc. It was always great hearing from Slim, and finding out about his latest darts or billiards adventures or what he was doing in school with his I.T work. He was a genuine friend, and we will miss him. I will pray comfort for your family. I'm sure he's up there looking down on all of us.
