It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Dean Morriss in Garland, Texas, who passed away on October 24, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Byron Howard and Blanche Keene Baldwin; her husbands, Ben Dean and L. L. Morriss; her granddaughter Melody Ellen Dean; and her brother Eugene Baldwin.
She is survived by: her children, Jimmy Wayne (Cathy Dean), Bobby Howard (Ellen Dean) and Debra Ann (Jerry Summers); her grandchildren, Jennifer Dean, Brent Dean, Brian Dean, Stephanie McDonald, Curtis Summers and Julie Jones; and her great grandchildren, Abbey Summers, Laura Summers, Jasper Dean, Everett Jones, Emerson Jones, Lillian Jones and Roman.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Cammack Family Sullivan Funeral Home (100 E Travis St, Marshall, TX 75670). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Chapel on the Hill (797 Van Zandt Ave, Marshall, TX 75670).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be given to the scholarship funds at East Texas Baptist University and Dallas Baptist University.
