She was predeceased by: her parents, Prudence Brown and Clifton Brown; her sisters, Loraine Sipe and Kitty Briscoe (Sam Wheat); and her daughter Tamara Moore.

She is survived by: her husband Sam J. Wheat; and her children, Kenneth Wheat (Carolyn) and Tara Caudle. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
