It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lois Louise Mitchell of Garland, Texas, who passed away on February 6, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Cleo Othel (Forbes) and Mack Govie Jackson; her son David; and her siblings, Beulah Sanford, Mary Lottie Weckter, Lota Hughes, Fayna Lilley, Lanell England, Ruth Russell and Ben Kendrick.
She is survived by: her children, Doug (Ann) of Glenrose, TX and Connie Raines of Richardson, TX; her grandchildren, Jeff Mitchell, Justin Mitchell, Jennifer Mitchell Walker, Crystal Raines Hays and Colleen Raines; her great grandchildren, Jackson, Lila, Cameron Hays, Madison Raines, Joel Mitchell, Kalen, Kole Walker, Lilly Ochoa, Jace and Addison Mitchell; her brother Harold Jackson (Buddy); and her brother-in-law Dan Russell. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Williams Memorial Chapel (1600 S Garland Ave, Garland, TX 75040). A burial was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Restland Memorial Park (9220 Restland Rd, Dallas, TX 75243-1917).
