She was predeceased by: her father Andre Harris; her stepfather Roy Waldon; and her parents-in-law, William and Nancy Rush. She is survived by: her husband Christopher Rush of Dallas; her sons, Carl Harris of Denton, Christopher Rush II of Aubrey and William Rush II of Rowlett, Texas; her grandchildren, Christyana Rush, Jayden Harris and Grayson Rush; her mother Shirley Waldon of Houston, Texas; her siblings, Michael Waldon of Houston, Texas and Rosalyn Omungo of Georgetown, Texas; her stepsiblings, Roy Waldon, Jr. of Houston, Texas and Wanda Charles (Michael) of Houston, Texas; her goddaughters, Taylor Rhone of Houston, Texas and Makayla Waldon of Houston, Texas; and her siblings-in-law, Rickey Abron (Sevella) of Sulphur Springs, Texas, Pamela Smith (Artiss) of Lancaster and Alice Stephenson of DeSoto, Texas.
Viewing was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Chamberland Funerals & Cremations (333 W Avenue D, Garland, TX 75040). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the New Hope Christian Church (1100 W Brown St, Wylie, TX 75098). A burial was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery (DFW National Cemetery) (2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211).
