He was predeceased by: his parents, John Konecny and Nora Konecny; his daughter Stacie; and his siblings, Sylvester, Leonard, John (Nip), Christina, Helen, Sister Jolitta and Bridget.

He is survived by: his wife Joyce; his daughter Stephanie; and his grandchildren, Leona and Connor. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
