He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Wilson and Rena Jacob; his wife Helen F. Wilson; his children, Ladonna Wilson and Robert J. Wilson; and his brothers, Donald Wilson Jr., Willy Wilson, Woodrow Wilson and Ollie Wilson.

He is survived by: his granddaughter Ashley Wilson; and his great grandchildren, Ariana Ruiz and Aaliyah Ruiz.
