Geraldine Strong Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Geraldine Strong (Garland, Texas), who passed away on March 9, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Miller and Alice Miller; her husband Darrell Strong; and her in-laws, Jimmy Royce Strong (Sonny), George Sherwood Strong (GS), Wayand Jones, Gordon Pierce, Murray Jones, Carnes Alexander, MaxLene Strong and Ruth Strong.
She is survived by: her children, Mike Strong (Sheri), Jerri Strong (Steve Cozart), Donna Reeves and Tania Fernandez; her brother Lawrence (Kay); her siblings-in-law, Hillard (Sarah Joe), Maureen Jones, Ina Marie Pierce (Rea) and Betty Alexander; her grandchildren, Chris Strong (Sandra), Kelley Gomez (Jose), Rebecca Plattner (Blake), Rachel Johnson (Chris), Reagan Alcorn (Chris), Vanessa Knagg (Alex) and Natalie Simpson (Rusty); and her great grandchildren, Callie, Haylie Burke, Tate Strong, Sebastian (Bash), Jocelyn, Leighton Gomez, Lenna, Livie Plattner, Evelyn, Sonny Johnson, Braden, Brantley (Bubba), Bryson Alcorn, Sayla, Havana Simpson, Lincoln and Henry Knagg. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Garland (801 W Avenue D, Garland, TX 75040). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the First Baptist Church Legacy Building Fund, 801 W. Ave D, Garland, TX 75040.
