Gayle Hopkins of Garland, Texas; her niece Veronica Cross (Lyn); her nephews, Tony Hicks, Jr. (Latesha), Marcel McGuire and Anthony Hopkins; her uncles, Joseph Scruggs (Etta) of Desoto and S. W. Scruggs of Rowlett, Texas; her cousin Carol Dennis-Dylan of Palmdale, California; and her close friends, Beverly Phillips, Mark Wilson, B'nois King, Carl Muhammad and Judge Andrew Carruthers. She was also cherished by parents, two sets of wonderful grandparents, and aunts and uncles.
