He was predeceased by: his mother Willie V. Phillips; his stepfather Early Minuend; and his daughter-in-law Phyllis Bedford. He is survived by: his grandsons, Darryl "Ray" Ware, Derek Ware and Gregory Owens Jr.; his great grandchild Ryleigh Williams; his wife Erma Lee Wright; his children, Donald Ray Ware (Vanessa), Wyrick C. Ware, Sharon "Bug" Williams (Willie "Ray"), LaDonna Owens (Gregory Sr.), Phyllis Wimberly (Lakitus) and Countressa "Connie" Jones (Dairin); and his caregiver Jacob. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren, friends.
