He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Kornegay and Teresa Kornegay (Obets); and his wife Ellen. He is survived by: his children, Teresa Fitzgerald (Terence) of Washington, DC, Brenton of Dallas and Trent of Garland; and his granddaughter Samantha Walker (Johnny). He is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Williams Funeral Directors (1600 S Garland Ave, Garland, TX 75040). A rosary was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the Williams Funeral Directors Chapel (1600 S Garland Ave, Garland, TX 75040). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 9:45 AM at the Sacred Heart Cemetery (3900 Rowlett Rd, Rowlett, TX 75088). A graveside service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at the same location.
