He was predeceased by: his parents, Katheen Elizabeth Hicks and William Howard Hampton. He is survived by: his cousins, Dan Hicks, Don Hicks, Jack Hicks, Linda Hicks, Larry Hicks, Sandra Stone-Johnson and Howard Swanson-Stone; and his godsons, Scott Paddock, Michael Nufer, Bruce (Wendy Taylor), Jack Taylor (Barbara Green), Don, Chris Ryden (Ann), Cody Pletz, David Sowell and Chris Tope.
The inurnment was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the St. Luke's Episcopal Church (11 St Lukes Ln, Alamo Heights, TX 78209).
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to: Boysville – A Texas Home for Boys and GIrls, Alzheimer's Research, and St. Lukes Episcopal Church.
