He was predeceased by: his parents, George Putnam and Marie Putnam (Richards); his siblings, George Putnam, Jr., Charlotte Tomlin, Helen Wise, Carolyn Newlan and Sally Calverley; and his daughter Gaylyn Sue Putnam Harp (Jerry).
He is survived by: his wife Joyce; his sisters, Clair Sims and Susan Blomgren; his daughters, Brenda Blanar (James) and Robbie Hafernick (Lee); and his grandchildren, Cheryl Zelezniak (Blanar), Christy Blanar, Corey Blanar, Cheri Ayoub (Harp), Renee Walkingshaw (Hafernick), Ryanne Elton (Hafernick) and Rhea Lea Hessler (Hafernick). He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
