He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Emilio and Manuela Smithwick, Sr.; his friend Sally Smithwick; his wife Sally Smithwick; his children, Frank Smithwick, Jr., Sabrina (Octavio Valenzuela), Christopher (Lorena Smithwick, Sr.), Timothy (Patricia Smithwick) and Mark (Jessica Smithwick, Sr.); his grandchildren, Melissa (Kirk Anderson) and C. J.; and his great grandchildren, Clat Gonzales, Jr., Liana Anderson, Alina Gonzales and Ava Gonzales. He was also cherished by four sons, one daughter, nine grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
