She was predeceased by: her parents, Santos Munoz Valdez and Librada Zarate Valdez; her husband Tanis Garza, Sr.; and her children, Tanis "Tiney" Garza, Jr. and Frances Garza.
She is survived by: her children, Josie Cruz (Abel) of Edna, Lupe Lovely of Ganado and Joe Garza (Kristi) of Ganado; her grandchildren, Emma and Liam Garza of Ganado; her stepgranddaughter Marsha David (Bruce) of Oklahoma; her siblings, John Valdez (Olga) of Victoria, Jimmy Valdez (Josie) of Victoria, Lupe Hernandez of La Porte, Texas., Lupe Valdez, Mike Valdez, Santos Valdez and Willie Valdez; and her stepgreat-grandson Dustin Elledge.
