He was predeceased by: his parents, J. D. Bassham and Thelma Bassham; and his brothers, Ray (Marieta), Harold and Jerry Bassham.
He is survived by: his wife Gladys Preuss; his daughters, Bobbi Ann Bassham Wigginton (Jay) and Vicki Lynn Bassham Schneider (Patrick); his grandchildren, Jason Sulak (Shanna), Lauren Wigginton Bryant (Lawrence), Chelsea Schneider, Allison Schneider and Nolan Schneider; his great grandchildren, Evan Graham Sulak, Lawrence Jay Bryant, Conrad Bassham Bryant and Elliot Ann Bryant; his sister-in-law Faye Bassham; and his cousins, Karen Christie (Ronny), Linda Rhoton (Craig) and Finis Bassham (Sonny). He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 14th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Ganado (400 Buechman Rd, Ganado, TX 77962). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, September 14th 2024 at the Ganado City Cemetery.
