With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Bennie Matcek Jr. of Ganado, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 14, 2024 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Bennie leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Bennie may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bennie Matcek and Elsie Hafner Matcek. He is survived by: his wife Sheryl Hartl Macek; his sons, Jason Matcek and Nathan Matcek (Jodi); his granddaughter Jade Matcek; and his siblings, Gail Guthman (Tommy) and Perry Matcek (Kelli).
Visitation was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Assumption Catholic Church (108 6th St, Ganado, TX 77962). A rosary was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at the Assumption Catholic Cemetery (470 Cemetery Rd #468, Ganado, TX 77962).
