Walter Meyer Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 8, 2024, at the age of 82, Walter Meyer (Galveston, Texas) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter John Meyer, Jr. and Eleanor Moursund Meyer; and his brother Carl Moursund Meyer. He is survived by: his wife Olivia; his children, Randall (Iliyana Meyer) and Eleanor (John) of Groot; his grandchildren, Alexander, Andrei Meyer, Evelyn and Jeffrey of Groot; his siblings-in-law, Sherry Meyer, Annette Hastie (Robin) and Christopher Thomas (Linda); his niece Rachel Thomas (Jeremy); and his nephew Craig Thomas (Alexandra). He is also survived by nieces and nephew, cousins, as well as much loved friends.
His last great gift was donating his body to UTMB for medical research and training as part of the University's Living Will program.
