He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas A. Houston, Sr. and Lillian Houston (Elfstrom); his son Walter Eugene (Gene); and his siblings, Lois Dodson and Robert Houston (Bobby).
He is survived by: his wife Lucy Mae Peikert Houston (Lou); and his children, Thomas Archie Houston, III (Maria), Debbie Honea (Dan) and Marilyn Pleasant (Paul). He is also survived by seven grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; multiple great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to St. John's Lutheran Church in Galveston.
