She was predeceased by: her parents, Hilton Sweatt and Mollie Sweatt; her husband Fred C. Ewald, Jr.; her siblings, Sandra "Nicki" Holcomb and Tony Sweatt; her grandson Tyler Walsh-Ewald; and her son-in-law Chriss Fabain.
She is survived by: her children, Melody Ewald-Fabain of Galveston, Fred "Bubba" Ewald, III of Ft. Worth, Craig Ewald of League City and Jonathan Ewald (Rachel) of Dallas; and her brother-in-law David Ewald (Paula). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and her Alabama family.
