She is survived by: her husband Gary Brown; her daughters, Tanya Weldon and Shannon Burns; and her grandchildren, Robert, Julianna, Johnathan and Andie. She is also survived by her 3 great grandchildren.
After raising the money from her benefits, her Mel painted calendars, fundraisers, donation boards and carnivals from her overly generous bar friendships and Galveston Community, she would shop and spend every penny donated and have wrapping parties to make it all happen and deliver these gifts as a Secret Santa to each childs location.
