She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester McBride and Alice McBride. She is survived by: her husband Dr. Francis X. Essex; her sister Jane Morrill (Ronald) of Dallas, TX; her children, Paul (Margaret Essex), Anne (Glenn Bulan), Caroline (Fred Torcaso) and Julia Essex of Galveston, TX; her grandchildren, Mary Essex of Washington, DC, Gregory Torcaso of Baltimore, MD and Henry Essex of Fairfield, CT; and her caregivers, Minerva Alvarado, Tina Franks Sanchez, Amanda Rondine, Gloria Hernandez and Yvonne Gilbert. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
