It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jose Ortiz Sr. of Galveston, Texas, who passed away on February 21, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Ortiz and Andrea Gallardo Ortiz; his wife Janie Medina Ortiz; and his sister Antonia Ortiz Copado. He is survived by: his brother Jesse Ortiz of Oceanside, CA; his son Jose Ortiz, Jr.; his grandchildren, Annalis Ortiz Wilson (Marc Wilson), JoeAngelo Ortiz (Lucy McEldowney), Marc Ortiz (Angel Alcocer) and Angel Ortiz; and his great grandchildren, Jordan Dreiss Ortiz, Kayne Ortiz, Angelo Ortiz, Isabella Ortiz, Arianna Ortiz and Major Wilson.
