He was predeceased by: his parents, Jefferson Wise Hammett Sr. and Nadine Marconette Hammett; his sisters, Patricia Wolf and Gloria Hammett; and his daughter-in-law Kathryn Samantha Hammett.
He is survived by: his husband Tony of Galveston Texas; his sons, Vincent Wayne Hammett (Cecilia) of Arlington Texas, Travis Lee Hammett (Mary Ellen) of Arlington Texas and Jeffery Lynn Hammett of Lockhart, Texas; his grandchildren, Dashiell Hammett, Dixie Triggs (Cayden), Trevor Hammett (Meagan), Brittany Miera (Geoffrey), Morgan Moore (Lee), Taylor Hammett, Matthew Hammett and Jesse Hammett; his nieces, Marinea (Josh West), Lilly (Oscar Montelongo) and Victoria Barrera; and his nephew Erasmo Barrera, III. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren; and some terrific friends.
