He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth McDaniel of Galveston, TX; his children, Denetras McDaniel, James McDaniel, Jr. of Monroe, LA, Corey McDaniel (Quincie) of Corpus Christi, TX, Michelle Bacon (Kyle) of Upper Marlboro, Frank Ross (Frances) of LaMarque, TX, Yulanda Martin-Jones of League City, TX and Leticia Teamer of Houston, TX; his grandchildren, JaCorian McDaniel, JaTeia Robinson (Lazarre), Jazlyn Watkins, JaMia Lenard (LaDarius), Demetrius (Dee), Jenkins (Chakilla), Christina Ross, Brianna Booker (Rhasean), Salaya Holmes, C. J. Holmes, Tyrone Alvarez, Maya McDaniel, Parker McDaniel, James McDaniel and Elijah McDaniel; his siblings, Elizabeth Armstrong (Morris) of Texas City, TX, Eric Malveaux (Margaret) of Texas City, TX, Bonita Peebles (John) of Austin, TX and Michelle Milburn (Troy) of Austin, TX; and his friends, Flor Arriaga (family: Emma Williams, Lurtee Royal) and Norman Bloom. He is also survived by great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM at the Greater Barbour's Chapel Baptist Church (7420 FM1765, Texas City, TX 77591). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Lakeview Cemetery (3001 57th St, Galveston, TX 77551).
