She was predeceased by: her parents, George Clifford Garrett and Johnnie Cleotha Hough Yates. She is survived by: her siblings, Dorothy, James, Maybelle, William "Billy", John David, Robert, Evelyn and Curtis; her husband David; her daughters, Gwen (Robert) and Rebecca (Michael); and her grandchildren, Katy (Curtis), Sara (Keith) and Caleb. She is also survived by seven great grandsons.
