He was predeceased by: his parents, Alden Gilliland and Dolores Gilliland. He is survived by: his significant other Jinny O'Donohue Gilliland; his son Alden Gilliland (Rose) of Mukilteo; his granddaughter Megan of Mukilteo; his daughter Brandi of California; and his sisters, Laura Kardow (John) of Spicewood, TX, Jan Reves (Randall) of Denver and Debby Finch of Bayview, TX.. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, additional family members and special friends.
