Frances Diaz Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 11, 2023, at the age of 85, Frances Diaz of Galveston, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael M. Tijerina and Beatrice Zamora Tijerina; her son Benjamin Diaz; her brother John Tijerina (Phyllis Tijerina); her brother-in-law Rey Martinez; and her grandson Joshua Niswonger.
She is survived by: her husband Jesse Diaz, Jr.; her sister Alice Martinez; her daughters, Carol Diaz-Sterling (Randall, III), Cynthia Niswonger, Cathy Horry (Nicholas) and Jessica Skaggs (Jake); her grandchildren, Randall Sterling, IV (Yesenia), Scott A. Niswonger, Jr. (Larissa), Kaely S. Diaz-Wenglar, Cera Horry and Sawyer A. Skaggs; and her great grandchildren, Jasmine Niswonger, Kairi Niswonger, Liam Niswonger, Levi A. Wenglar, Dash R. Wenglar, Benjamin Sterling, Evelyn Gutierrez, Adrian Gutierrez, Andrew Gutierrez, Melany Gutierrez and Misael Gutierrez. She is also survived by Nieces, nephews, and numerous cousins.
Much like her love for her family and her passion for donating to worthy causes, Frances found great joy in nurturing and providing for the squirrels in her neighborhood.
