It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eljie Broussard Simpton of Galveston, Texas, born in Milton, Louisiana, who passed away on March 12, 2024, at the age of 104, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Ernest "Jerry" Simpton; her daughter Rita; her daughter-in-law Elenor Simpton; and her siblings, Anne Mouton, Lou Hubbard, Olan Hughes, Nathan Broussard and Aaron Broussard.
She is survived by: her children, Jerry Simpton, Lou Ann Casalini and Terri Simpton; her grandsons, Scott Simpton, Barry Simpton and Dan Simpton; and her great grandchildren, Ryan Simpton, Kahla Simpton, Ceily Simpton, Miley Simpton, Frank "Ivan" Polivka and Odin Clay.
