She was predeceased by: her husband Donald L. Schattel. She is survived by: her children, Cindy Sapio (Peter), Donald Schattel Jr. (Esther) and Kim Tindel (Marty); her grandchildren, Courtney Sapio, Trey Sapio (Malori), Lauren Childress (Donnie), Brandon Schattel (Alexandra) and Allyson Means (Logan); and her great grandchildren, Caroline Childress, Charlotte Childress, Olivia Childress, Treyson Sapio, Weston Sapio, Brayden Sapio and Ryder Schattel.

Visitation was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church (1010 35th St, Galveston, TX 77550). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
