He was predeceased by: his parents, Irene Knox and Emmit Knox; his wife Velma Knox; his son Leland Ray Knox; and his grandchildren, Dennis Ray Knox and Gayla Knox Clark.
He is survived by: his daughter Doris Jane Monheiser; his granddaughters, Rebecca (Jody Rowland), Stacey (Glenn Traylor) and Latricia (Lindon Williams II); his great grandchildren, Renee, John Howard, Gailynn, Josh Williford, Taylor, Daniel Matejko, Sarah, Forrest Yelverton, Hannah Yelverton, Kennedy Rowland, Gary Rowland, Nicole Traylor, Collin Traylor, Lindsey Williams and Lane Williams; and his great great grandchildren, Jonah, JJ Williford, Cates Matejko, Emaree Yelverton and Calloway.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Pasadena Funeral Chapel (2203 Pasadena Blvd, Pasadena, TX 77502). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Galena Park First Baptist Church (206 Woolfe St, Galena Park, TX 77547). A committal service was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Wheat Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that friends and family make donations to First Baptist Church Galena Park in memorandum of Leland Knox.
