He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Tijerina and Maria Tijerina (Pena); his children, Cynthia Salazar and Reynaldo "Raymond" Tijerina; and his brothers, Gregorio Tijerina, Daniel Tijerina, Jr. and Modesto Tijerina.
He is survived by: his wife Senaida Tijerina; his children, Eusebio Tijerina (Donna), Arturo Tijerina (Elma), Betsy Tijerina and Alexandra "Sandra" DeSantiago (Ernesto); his son-in-law Jesse Salazar; his sister Gervacia Gaitan (Pablo); and his grandchildren, Danielle Castro, Christina Garza, Fernando DeSantiago, Gabriel DeSantiago, Ernesto DeSantiago, Jr., Daniel Gonzales, Samuel Tijerina, Mary Nicole Tijerina, Jeremy Tijerina, Irma Salazar and Sabrina Salazar. He is also survived by twenty great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
