With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wilbur Hogan of Gainesville, Texas, who passed away on December 26, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Wilbur leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Wilbur may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, W. C. Hogan and Evelyn Jackson Hogan; and his son Bill Hogan. He is survived by: his wife Elaine Hogan of Gainesville; his children, Kristin Bilstad of Plano and Brian Hogan of Denton; and his siblings, Robert Hogan of Denton, Linda Harlow of Gainesville, Joan Ellyett of Whitesboro and Lisa Hancock of Denton. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home (602 Lindsay St, Gainesville, TX 76240). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Fairview Cemetery (710 Fair Ave, Gainesville, TX 76240).
