He was predeceased by: his parents, Boyd J. Gunter and Norma J. Gunter; his brother Ronald B. Gunter; his daughter Lindsay Renee Gunter; and his nephew Brock Murray.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Gunter of Alabama; his children, Jeremy Eddowes (Shonda) of El Reno, Oklahoma and Cassie Cox (David) of Lindsay, Texas; his sister Karen Vannoy of Woodbine, Texas; his sister-in-law Debbie Merritt of Lindsay, Texas.; his niece Brooksann Harris; and his nephews, Brett and Colt Gunter.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Woodbine Baptist Church (245 Co Rd 211, Gainesville, TX 76240).
