He was predeceased by: his father Jerry Don Harris; and his daughter Ashley Hughes. He is survived by: his mother Shirley Harris (Scott McMahon) of Gainesville; his granddaughter Samantha Cooper of Marietta, OK; his son-in-law Justin Hughes of Marietta, OK; his siblings, Kelly Harris of Dallas, Kellin "Bus" Harris of Gainesville and Jeff McMahon of Nashville, TN; and his nieces and nephews, Brooke Miller (Cody) of Carrollton, Jeremy Lillard of Dallas, Kelliney Harris (Shane) of Krum, Kellin "Bub" Harris of Gainesville and Karissa Gipson (Ryan) of Krum.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Home Hospice of Grayson County or an organization supporting medical care for veterans.
