He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Hughes Mitchell, Sr. and Dorothy Augusta "Becker" Mitchell of Gainesville; his wife Shirley; and his son Charles Mitchell. He is survived by: his children, Dr. Marilyn Mitchell of Denton and David; his daughter-in-law Alisha Fuhrmann of Gainesville; his daughter Brandi Fuhrmann; his son-in-law Cody Shell of Gainesville; and his grandchildren, Andrew, Zieq, Alex, America, Mady, Cody Joe and Kenzi.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home (602 Lindsay St, Gainesville, TX 76240). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
