With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Joye Johnston of Gainesville, Texas, born in Decatur, Texas, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Though Joye may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Joye touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. She was predeceased by: her parents, E. B. Fortenberry and Opal Virginia Fortenberry; and her husband Dub Johnston. She is survived by: her daughters, J'Lynne Johnston of Gainesville, TX and Julie (Ricky Greene) of Sadler, TX; her granddaughters, Jessica (Matt Nichols) of Sadler, TX and Jordan Greene of Nevada, TX; her great grandchildren, Travis and Ellie Nichols; her pet Willie; and her sister Gina Morris of Bedford, TX. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
