She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Hinkson and Faye Hinkson; her brother Dr. Tom Hinkson; and her siblings-in-law, Glenda Hinkson, Sandra Alexander, Cecil Sparkman and Bob Sparkman.
She is survived by: her husband George Sparkman; her brother Robert Hinkson; her children, Robbie Sparkman, Tina Presley (Henry), Doug Sparkman (Angela), Terri Johnson (Darrin) and Greg Sparkman (Kristi); and her grandchildren, Tiffany Dossey (Lenard), Ashley Dittberner (Trey), Krysta Sparkman, Megan Presley-Wahlen (Michael), Danae Nelson (Clay), Dustin Sparkman (Brittnie), Erin Ghadiry (Amir), Allen Sparkman (Stephanie), Rachel Johnson, Sarah Johnson, Emily Sparkman and Amanda Sparkman. She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home (602 Lindsay St, Gainesville, TX 76240). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Calvary Baptist Church (900 S Wine St, Gainesville, TX 76240). A committal service was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Post Oak Cemetery.
