He was predeceased by: his parents, Imogene Briggs Sr. (Burrow) and Tommy Briggs Sr.; his brother Tommy Briggs Jr.; his father-in-law Bill Holderman; his stepson Jeramy Murphy; and his grandparents, William Henry Briggs, Carrie "Cricket" Fleenor, John Burrow and Eva Burrow.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Briggs; his mother-in-law Jimmie Fay Holderman; his sons, Buck Briggs, Robert Briggs and Travis Briggs; his stepdaughter Mollie Murphy; his sister Kathy Briggs Smith (Terry Smith); and his siblings-in-law, April Waggoner (Ryan) and Kirk Holderman. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and 3 nephews.
