In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Gary leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Gary may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Charles Cates (Slim) and Mary Cates (Ondracek). He is survived by: his wife Pamela Sue Stewart; his children, Amber (Paul Hartley) and Cary (Maritza Cates); his granddaughters, Kimber and Grace Cates; and his sister Sherry (Bill Partridge). He is also survived by three nieces and two nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home (602 Lindsay St, Gainesville, TX 76240). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
