It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Allen of Gainesville, Texas, who passed away on February 18, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Barbara Allen to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Prentice R. V. Dickey and Ora Adell Dickey; her son David Wayne Allen; her brothers, Gerald Wayne Dickey and Carlton "Skip" Dickey; and her nephew Adrian Dickey.
She is survived by: her son Chad Allen (Christa) of Corinth; her grandchildren, Austin Allen (Blossom), Colton Allen (Nicole), Avery Allen and Caris Allen Pasch-Cooper (Jake); her great grandchildren, Taylin Allen and Havin Allen; her cousin Peggy Ann Carter Scott; and her sisters-in-law, Janet Dickey and Carla Neinast (John). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home (602 Lindsay St, Gainesville, TX 76240). A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Cedarlawn Memorial Park (5805 Texoma Pkwy, Sherman, TX 75090).
Memorial contributions may be made to Tabernacle Baptist Church.
