He was predeceased by: his parents, John Edgar and Madge Revels (Christian); and his grandson Tristan John Revels. He is survived by: his wife Mary Alice Revels of Frost; his children, Marsha Clayton of Cleburne, Sherrie Curl (Scotty) of Frost, Kelly Buchanan (Thomas) of Arlington and Robbie L. Revels, Jr. (Tammy Griggs) of Frost; and his brother Lonnie Revels (Charlene) of Hico. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
