He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Purdy and Josie Beatrice Tyler Purdy; his former wife Chris; and his siblings, Wes Purdy, Orval Purdy, Tom Purdy and Jean Reinhardt.
He is survived by: his wife Jane of Fritch; his children, Paula Garton (Brian) of Fritch and David Purdy (Amy) of Borger; his stepson Shawn Patrick (Michele) of Channing; his grandchildren, Alyssa Witt (Camren), Kaylor Garton, Abby Garton, Piper Purdy, Emma Purdy, Wyatt Patrick and Tag'N Patrick; his great grandchildren, Wyatt and Cohen; and his siblings, Cleave Purdy (Carla) of Douglas, Ray Purdy (Linda) of Sunray, Bud Purdy of Lubbock and Barbara Anderson of Tyler. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family.
